Frequently asked
Questions, carefully answered.
How long does digitization take?+
Projects can range from a few days to a few weeks depending on how large the project is.
How are my memories protected?+
Your originals never leave our care without your direction. Every project is handled in a clean, climate-controlled studio with meticulous attention to detail. White-glove services are available upon request.
Do you organize photos, or just scan them?+
Every project includes basic organization — a clean, browsable folder structure delivered with your archive. Deeper organization (sorting by event, date, or family member) is available as an add-on whenever you'd like it.
Do you offer pickup and delivery?+
Yes. Local pickup and dropoff are included on most projects, scheduled around you.
What types of media do you accept?+
Prints of any size, 35mm slides, film negatives, VHS, VHS-C, MiniDV, Hi8, Video8, 8mm/Super 8/16mm film reels, and digital photos from phones, cameras, and old computers.
What resolution do you scan at?+
Prints at 600 DPI archival quality, slides and negatives at 4000 DPI. We can scan higher on request for restoration or large-format printing.
Will my photos be backed up?+
Yes. Every archive is delivered on a labeled external drive, and we keep a redundant backup for 90 days after delivery for your peace of mind.
Can you restore damaged or faded photos?+
We include light color correction and dust removal on all scans. Heavier restoration work is available as an add-on and quoted per photo.
Do you work with non-family archives — businesses, estates, or genealogists?+
Yes. We frequently work on estate archives and small-business heritage projects. Reach out and we'll scope it together.
